40th Anniversary GALA
Honoring the distinguished work of actor Billy Crudup.
6:00pm | COCKTAILS
7:00pm | DINNER
8:00pm | PERFORMANCE
We are delighted to honor renowned actor Billy Crudup, who made his professional acting debut at the Vineyard in America Dreaming in 1994, and has created unforgettable roles on the Vineyard stage over three decades. From his Tony Award-winning work in The Coast of Utopia to his Lortel-, Obie- and Drama Desk-winning performance in The Vineyard’s Harry Clarke, Billy has distinguished himself as one of the finest actors working in theatre today. He has likewise earned acclaim for his work in film and television including Almost Famous, Jesus’ Son, Spotlight, and Watchmen, and Apple TV’s The Morning Show, for which he received the 2020 Emmy Award.
We’ll also toast two individuals who have played a vital role in championing the Vineyard’s mission: Ken Greiner, a guiding force on the Vineyard’s Board of Directors for more than a decade; and Marcia Pendelton, whose efforts to make the arts accessible have deepened the diversity of Vineyard’s community and of audiences across the city.
Your Gala donation directly supports Vineyard’s 40th Anniversary Season work and artists; our Fair Pay Initiative, a commitment to pay all arts workers, on our stage and behind the scenes, a livable wage; and our Good Neighbor ticket accessibility program, through which we make thousands of subsidized tickets available at a low cost each season.
