This year, Vineyard Theatreâs annual Gala is going smaller and thinking bigger.
Join The Vineyard from the comfort of your home as we welcome a wide range of brilliant creators and thinkers for a series of intimate hour-long roundtable discussions about what it means to contribute to our culture before, during, and beyond our current moment.
Admission in each Zoom room is limited to 10-15 households, and we expect each of these one-of-a-kind events to fill quickly.

Each ticket includes admission to the event of your choice for one household — as many people as you can fit in your Zoom square! — as well as a home-delivered gift box* with wine and provisions from our neighbors in Union Square. âTableâ packages may be used to invite friends to a single event or to spread a âflightâ of tickets across multiple evenings.

DANNY MEYER and DAVID ROCKWELL | SOLD OUT
TUESDAY, MAY 11 at 6PM ET
Celebrated restaurateur Danny Meyer and Tony Award winning set designer and architect David Rockwell will team up again to discuss the world of fine dining, storytelling through architecture, and their many collaborations designing interiors for Meyerâs flagship restaurants.
M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN and ANYA TAYLOR-JOY
WEDNESDAY, MAY 12 at 4PM ET
Legendary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Old [upcoming]) and Golden Globe winning actress Anya Taylor-Joy (âThe Queenâs Gambit,â Emma) will reunite to discuss their experiences working together on the films Split and Glass and give an inside look at the actor-director collaboration.
HOLLY HUNTER, J. SMITH-CAMERON, and NICHOLAS BRAUN
SUNDAY, MAY 16 at 6PM ET
Oscar winner Holly Hunter and acclaimed actors J. Smith-Cameron and Nicholas Braun will come together for a lively conversation about their experiences working together on the Emmy-winning HBO series âSuccession,â the portrayal of big media on the small screen, and stories from their wide-ranging acting careers.
BILLY CRUDUP and STERLING K. BROWN
THURSDAY, MAY 20 at 6PM ET
Emmy winners Billy Crudup (âThe Morning Show,â The Vineyardâs Harry Clarke) and Sterling K. Brown (âThis is Us,â âThe People v. O.J. Simpsonâ) will discuss the current and evolving landscapes of American theatre, film and television, and the process of creating characters in each medium.
JEREMY O. HARRIS AND HANYA YANAGIHARA
MONDAY, MAY 24 at 6PM ET
Tony-nominated playwright and screenwriter Jeremy O. Harris (Slave Play, The Vineyard’s “Daddy”) will join T Magazine editor-in-chief and acclaimed novelist Hanya Yanagihara (A Little Life, The People in the Trees) for a frank discussion about writing provocative stories for different media, the roles of fashion in their respective careers, and representation in publishing and popular culture.
KT TUNSTALL and RANDY RAINBOW
WEDNESDAY, MAY 26 at 6PM ET
Rockstar KT Tunstall will join comedian/satirist Randy Rainbow to chat about the process of songwriting for their respective media, their sources of inspiration and creativity, and the many ways musical artists are responding to the current moment.
MICHAEL R. JACKSON and JOHN CAMERON MITCHELL
TUESDAY, JUNE 8 at 6PM ET
Pulitzer Prize winner Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop, Vineyard Artist in Residence) and Tony winner John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will discuss creating shows that changed the way LGBTQ+ stories were represented on stage and a vast range of other topics in a no holds barred conversation.

Vineyard Theatreâs 2021 Gala Series culminates in an intimate conversation between legendary musical theatre composers John Kander (Cabaret, Chicago, The Vineyardâs The Scottsboro Boys) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton). Join them as they share insights about their unique writing processes and reveal favorite selections from each otherâs songbooks, performed by some of Broadwayâs brightest stars: Mandy Gonzalez (In the Heights), Bryonha Marie Parham (Prince of Broadway), George Salazar (Be More Chill), and more!
Viewing options include the ability to chat with fellow audience members in the Live Watch Party premiere on Thursday, July 22 at 7pm ET, with on-demand access available through Sunday, July 25 at 11:59pm ET.
