An adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Flax,” THE SWEETEST LIFE is a treatise on the loss of innocence, a riff on resilience in the face of suffering. Drawing on swing, Dixie, and homespun gypsy folk music to weave an idiosyncratic sound, while magnifying the poetry in everyday vernacular, THE SWEETEST LIFE explores what it means to use, to be used, to be useful.
